Satria Neo Artiga

Proton’s Motorsport division lads have certainly been busy bees. The Satria Neo R3 Supercharged seen recently hasn’t been the only thing worked on, it seems.

Say hello to the ARTIGA Concept, which Proton – or rather, Youngman – has unveiled at Auto Shanghai. It’s another Satria Neo-based offering the company says is a study on the future of the hot hatch for Proton, one inspired by its participation in motorsports, but taken to a new level.

Unlike the supercharged R3 Neo, the debutant in China is less flashy colour-wise, clad in a more stoic grey tone, but in terms of exterior lines is certainly more aggressive, with extensive use of carbon fibre. Among the places the stuff makes its way on to is the bonnet, side skirts, spoiler as well as rather aggressively-shaped front and rear diffusers. The car features a patented stamping process to mass produce the carbon fibre parts, which helps to significantly reduce the cost of the items.

Plenty in the way of radical bulging bits though – check out what passes off as wheel arches on the car, working their way into the remodeled bumpers! Elsewhere, the concept features centrally-mounted twin tailpipes, swanky new headlamps and Oz Racing wheels, among other things.

It features the same supercharger treatment – as the Satria Neo R3 Supercharged – to increase power and torque (which should put it at 180 hp and 200 Nm, presumably), as well as the same Ohlins and AP brake package as seen in the limited-edition Satria Neo Lotus Racing.

The ARTIGA is on display at Proton’s Chinese partner Youngman’s booth, and is there to gauge the public’s feedback and interest. A bit of trivia: The car is sporting a Youngman logo, as Proton currently has no direct presence in China at the moment. Clever name too, ARTIGA is, yes?

Take Me Home Tonight Premiere Screening

You know sometimes, things just go the way that you don't want it to be. When all things go directionless, and there’s no more motivation in you, there’s only ONE thing that’s left to do;

FORGET EVERYTHING AND HAVE THE BEST NIGHT OF YOUR LIFE.

I am pretty sure you have your fair share of life changing, awesome night outs that give you the chills just thinking about it, and one thing is you will not want to miss Take Me Home Tonight! A romantic comedy with a rocking 80’s soundtrack.

Synopsis:
As the summer of 1988 winds down, three friends on the verge of adulthood attend an out-of-control party in celebration of their last night of unbridled youth. Starring Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Dan Fogler and Teresa Palmer, Take Me Home Tonight is a raunchy, romantic and ultimately touching blast from the past set to an awesome soundtrack of timeless rock and hip-hop hits.

Recent MIT grad Matt Franklin (Topher Grace) should be working for a Fortune 500 company and starting his upward climb to full-fledged yuppie-hood. Instead, the directionless 23-year-old confounds family and friends by taking a part-time job behind the counter of Suncoast Video at the Sherman Oaks Galleria.

But Matt’s silent protest against maturity comes to a screeching halt once his unrequited high school crush, Tori Frederking (Teresa Palmer), walks into the store. When she invites him to an epic, end-of-summer party, Matt thinks he finally might have a chance with the girl of his dreams. With his cynical twin sister Wendy (Anna Faris) and best friend Barry (Dan Fogler), Matt embarks on a once-in-a-lifetime evening. From stealing a car to a marriage proposal to an indescribable, no-holds-barred dance-off, these friends share experiences that will change the course of their lives on one unforgettable night in the Go-Go ’80s.

Elena Turns 18 on The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries fans, mark your calendars for September 15. That's The CW drama's third-season premiere — and a special day for Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). "Our first episode is Elena's 18th birthday," spills exec producer Julie Plec. What's in store for the birthday girl? Any idea?

Nina Dobrev

Elena Gilbert

"There will be a small time jump [ from where last season ended ] as we celebrate Elena's birthday," says Plec. "But as is the pattern in Mystic Falls, the event never reaches its climax." Elena will now be a senior in high school, but don't bank on a season-ending graduation.

Now that she's 18, "Elena and Jeremy technically don't need a parent living in their house [following Aunt Jenna's death]," says Plec. "She will be taking care of herself."

Jenna

On the romantic front, might the show now capitalize on the real-life romance of Nina and Ian Somerhalder (Damon) and have their characters hook up? While Plec stresses she would never exploit her actors' personal lives, she hints that "over the course of the season, Elena will be struggling with a deep, deep attraction toward Damon. That's going to be a big problem for her." As will Rebecca, a yet-to-be-cast vampire from Stefan's "darkest ripper days who loves that Stefan's back to his bad behavior." She's not the only one.

Elena and Damon

They look so lovely!

Damon and Elena. They have something!

I love this scene!

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev

Just can't wait until September 15! Let the clock start ticking! ;

Anyone who has ever experienced a hangover will recognize the symptoms: nausea, fatigue, a throbbing headache and pangs of regret. But, have you ever had your memory all washed up, without the faintest idea of what happened earlier? Sounds very scary to not know anything at all, right?

In “The Hangover Part II,” Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding. With the memory of Doug’s nearly disastrous bachelor party in Las Vegas still fresh—or at least well-documented—Stu is taking no chances. He has opted for a safe, subdued, pre-wedding trip brunch, with pancakes, coffee…and no alcohol. However, things don’t always go as planned.

Two nights before the big day, at a fabulous resort in Thailand, Stu relents. One beer each. In sealed bottles. What could go wrong? What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can’t even be imagined.
