Sky of Umbrellas at Águeda, Portuguese

In Águeda, a small Portuguese town, some streets are decorated with a large number of colorful umbrellas as a part of a public art installation. They seem to float magically in mid-air, creating a colorful shadow and protecting the walkers from the summer sun. Aside from providing a nice shade, it looks delightfully beautiful.

These photos were taken by Patricia Almeida and Diana Tavares. Although these photographers were not directly involved with the creation of the installation, but without them, most of us wouldn’t even know about it. So thanks to them for sharing these beautiful photos!

“I felt like a kid, amazed by all that color!” – says Patricia who titled her photos “Umbrella Roof” and the “Sky of Umbrellas”.

Color Picker Pen by Jinsu Park

Impressive! Korean designer Jinsu Park has created this color picker pen that basically brings the eyedropper to real life. The pen can scan objects and detect the colors, then users can then use the detected color to draw.

The color picker pen has a RGB Color Sensor for detecting color, a color display showing the color detected. When color is detected, the RGB ink cartridge inside the pen will mix the inks to create the color.

The sensor of the pen detects the color of the apple.

It turn into the apple's color just similar to the use of eyedroppper.

The sensor of the pen detects the color of the leaf.
